C. V. Blattler, 87, a native of Cedar Bluff, died Dec. 12 at Methodist hospital, Mitchell, S.D. He was living at White Lake, S.D. at the time of his death.

Charles Virgil Blattler was born at Cedar Bluff Jan. 8, 1868, and spent his early life in Cedar county, operating a store at Cedar Bluff.

In 1909 he moved to White Lake, N.D., where he operated a business. He was married to Ada L. Zeziger June 1, 1898, and the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1948. His wife died in 1950.

Survivors include a nephew, Glen Agne, of Tipton.
