Alfred A. Jensen, 62, who had farmed in the West Branch area since 1933, died Saturday in Mercy hospital at Iowa City.

Mr. Jensen was born in Denmark Oct. 3, 1894, the son of Jens P. and Mariane Andreason Jensen. He came to the United States in 1920 and worked as a brick mason until moving to the West Branch area 13 years later.

He was affiliated with Bethany Lutheran church and was a member of the West Branch Masonic lodge.

Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Christine Damgaard, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Jens Jacobsen, West Branch; Mrs. Ewald Olsen, Iowa City; Mrs. Maria Bramsholm, and Mrs. Karen Lyngaas, both in Denmark; three brothers, Olaf, St. Louis, Mo., and Theodore and Christian, both in Denmark.

Services were held Monday in Bethany Lutheran church with the Rev. D. D. Thorgerson officiating. Burial was in West Branch cemetery.
