Margaret Phelps Safley, widow of James Arthur Safley and a Cedar Rapids resident 38 years, died Nov. 17. She was born Dec. 15, 1871, at Clarence.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. J. J. Wilson, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Mrs. J. C. Milner, Des Moines and Miss Louise Safley, Cedar Rapids; 2 sons, Ritchie P., Seattle, Wash., and Maurice, of Muscatine and a brother.

Mrs. Safley was a member of First Presbyterian church in Cedar Rapids.

Services were Thursday at Cedar Rapids with Dr. Francis W. Pritchard in charge. Burial was in Red Oak Grove cemetery at Tipton.
