Services for Edgar P. Wingert, 81, of Cedar Rapids, a native of Cedar county, were held Nov. 14 in Davenport.

Mr. Wingert, a Cedar Rapids resident 13 y6ears, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home Nov. 11. He was born Sept. 13, 1878, in Cedar county.

He resided in McCausland, Bennett and Davenport, where he was in the insurance and real estate business. Nov. 28, 1905, he was married to Cornelia Crawford of Davenport. She died in 1934. May 1, 1937, he was married to Ellen Schumann of Kansas City, Mo., who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Virginia Prouse of LaJolla, Calif., and son, Warren, of Springfield, Ill. and 3 grandchildren.

Mr. Wingert was a member of St. Paul's Methodist church, Cedar lodge 11 A.F and A.M., Tipton, Kaaba Shrine, Davenport and Iowa Consistory. He was an honorary member of the Davenport Exchange club and served as its secretary and treasurer several years.
