Funeral services for Raymond Edmond Downing, 43, were held July 13 with the Rev. Lynwood Fredericksen in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Downing took his life at his home in Tipton July 10.

Born Feb. 24, 1916, in Urich, Mo., he was the son of Mrs. Francis Garlick. With the exception of 4 years, he spent his entire life in the Tipton community. He attended the Tipton school.

He is survived by his mother; 4 sisters, Mrs. Francis Wagner, Mrs. Virginia Carlson, Mrs. Betty Younger, and Mrs. Margaret Shotwell, and a brother, Harlan, all of Tipton. Also surviving are 15 nieces and nephews, 6 uncles and 3 aunts.
