Funeral services for Darrell Sanford Hepner, 67, were held Monday in Tipton with the Rev. Howard Dukelow officiating. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery. Mr. Hepner died June 19 at University hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born July 10, 1891, to David and Mary Hepner in Cedar county and married Eugenia Koppenhaver Feb. 12, 1913. To this union one child was born, Madge Alberta.

He married Florence Burgess who died in October of 1934. They had two children, Dale Warren and Mary Joyce.

Survivors include the 3 children, Madge Robinson, Ainsworth; Dale Hepner, Roggen, Colo.; Mary Svatos, Iowa City; one brother, Ralph Hepner, Corvallis, Ore.; 12 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, 6 sisters, 4 brothers and 1 grandchild, Vicky Rae Svatos.
