Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. DST, in the Durant chapel for Harlan "Cookie" Cook, 41, of Durant, with burial in Durant cemetery.

Cook, who was in partnership with F. A. Dickey in the Dickey Implement Co., Durant, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon following a heart attack. He was demonstrating farm machinery north of Sunbury.

He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran church, and assistant Scoutmaster of Durant Troop 153.

He was born July 19, 1918, at Sunbury, educated in the Durant schools and married to Viva Trail May 18, 1941, at Belle Plaine.

Survivors include his wife and three sons, Charles, Robert and Douglas, all at home, and a sister, Mrs. Roy Schlapkohl, Durant.

The body is at the Frick funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Gloria Dei Lutheran church memorial fund.
