Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Belle Burroughs, 82, were held June 1 with the Rev. Howard Dukelow officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Burroughs died May 29 at the Woode Nursing home in Tipton.

The daughter of George and Mary Gier, she was born at Oakdale, Nebr., July 3, 1876 and was married to Elmer O. Burroughs Sept. 17, 1907. She had lived in the Tipton area for about 30 years.

She is survived by 3 children, Edgar A., Lloyd M. and Mrs. George (Ruby) Wehde, all of Tipton, 6 grandchildren, Shirley Aikman, Ronald, Ruby, William and John Burroughs and Jerry Wehde and 2 great-grandchildren, Wendy and Dale Aikman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 8 sisters and brothers and one grandchild, Kelly Dee Aikman.

Casket bearers were Ward Williams, Claire Williams, Donald Wehde, Herman Peters, Floyd Foote and Paul Genrich. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist and Mrs. Paul Werling had charge of flowers.
