Funeral services for William J. Brock, 83, were held May 29 at Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher in charge. Burial was in Union cemetery, southwest of Mechanicsville. Mr. Brock died May 27.

The eldest son of C. B. and Elisabeth Brock, he was born May 23, 1875 on a farm near Mechanicsville. He was a lifetime resident of the Mechanicsville area and was a farmer.

He was married to Elba Albaugh Jan., 27, 1897. She died in 1899. Sept. 17, 1914 he was married to Stella Parsons. He is survived by his wife, a sister, Mrs. Chloie Puffer and 2 brothers, Lee, Mechanicsville and Charles, Detroit, Mich.
