Harrison Hess, 93, a resident of the West Liberty-Rochester community most of his life, died Saturday in a West Liberty nursing home.

Mr. Hess was born in Iowa Sept. 27, 1866, and had worked throughout his life as a carpenter. He was a member of the Methodist church and the West Liberty Odd Fellows lodge.

Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were held Tuesday in the Methodist church at Rochester. The West Liberty Odd Fellows lodge conducted graveside services at the Rochester cemetery.
