Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Emerson, 88, were held Wednesday with the Rev. A. C. Long in charge. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Emerson died Monday.

She was born in Canada April 24, 1871, the daughter of John and Annie worthy Johnston.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. A. C. Maender, St. Paul, Minn.; Gladys Emerson, Iowa City and Mrs. George Fearnehough of Palmdale, Calif., 2 sons, C. W. of Minnesota and W. R., of St. Louis; and a sister, Mrs. Bessie Johnston of Canada.
