Nick Niolaysen, 71, a retired railroad employee died at his home in Mechanicsville, Oct. 7, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

In addition to his wife, the former Ollie Johnson, he is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters, William, Bloomington, Ill., Donald, Santa Maria, Calif., Mrs. James Rife, Mechanicsville and Mrs. Glen Schnoeblen, San Jose, Calif.; 9 grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mrs. William Serres, Cary, Ill., Mrs. Emma Dodson, Nampa, Idaho and Mrs. Sophie Green, Puyallup, Wash. and one brother, Arnold Nicolaysen, Oakland, Calif.
