Leonard Dlouhy, 36, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday. Dlouhy shot himself on the farm west of Tipton where he had been employed. The chest wound was not immediately fatal, Dlouhy dying after he had been taken to an Iowa City hospital.

Born June 29, 1923 at Fairfax, he was married to Arlene Cilek May 21, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. He had farmed near Solon before moving to the Cedar Bluff area.

He is survived by his wife, 3 young sons, Larry, Robert and Allan, his mother, Mrs. Helen Dlouhy and 4 brothers, Leo, Frank, Donald and Eugene, all of Cedar Rapids and a sister, Mrs. Wesley Serbousek, Cedar Rapids.
