Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer Meineke, 71, were held Aug. 19 at Mechanicsville with the Rev. George Gallaher in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery at Mechanicsville.

Mrs. Meineke died unexpectedly at her home in Mechanicsville Aug. 17.

Emma Louise, daughter of John and Mary Prush, was born on a farm west of Tipton Feb. 16, 1888. She was married to Elmer Henry Meineke Jan. 5, 1919. They lived on farms in the Mechanicsville area for many years and a few years south of Mt. Vernon before moving to Mechanicsville 2 years ago.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Glenn, Olin, 3 grandchildren, Glenda, Arlene and Gary, Olin and a brother John, Tipton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Minnie Kern.
