Funeral services for Forrest Lee Wagner, 69, were held Sunday in Tipton with Pastor Kenneth O. Carroll officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill cemetery at Mechanicsville.

Casket bearers were Norman Frederick, Arnold Swan, Jesse Stout, Gale Maurer, Chalmer Keller and Parson Hines. Mrs. C. C. Crawford was organist and Mrs. Lyle Dickinson vocalist.

Mr. Wagner died at his home in Buchanan early Friday morning, Aug. 21.

A lifetime resident of Cedar county, he was born on a farm south of Tipton Feb. 3, 1890. He had lived in the Buchanan vicinity for 48 years and operated a blacksmith shop there.

He was married to Elizabeth G. Rixe Nov. 26, 1910 at the South Bethel church. He was honored with a life membership in the Moose lodge.

He is survived by his wife, 3 sons, Vernon, Tipton; Forrest and Erwin, Mechanicsville; one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Jessie) Anderson, Tipton; one brother, Albert, Buchanan; 2 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Nebergall, Wilton Junction and Mrs. Ada Eiselstein, Lowden, and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
