Funeral services for Nevin O. Goodale, 55, were held Feb. 16 at Tipton. He died Feb. 13 at a Rock Island hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Goodale, son of Lester and Milly Goodale, was born June 8, 1903 in Cedar county. He attended the Tipton schools and served in both the Atlantic and Pacific areas from 1939 to 1945 during World War II.

He was married to Mildred Mitchell July 21, 1945 at Davenport. He worked as a carpenter until 7 years ago when he became a feed dealer in the western Illinois area.

He is survived by his wife, his mother and a brother, Gaylord, Tipton. His father preceded him in death.
