Final rites for Mrs. Mary Jane Mahoney, 88, were held Tuesday at St. Mary's church with the Rev. Edward Collins in charge. Burial was at St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. Mahoney died Saturday at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

She was born in Cedar county Feb. 13, 1871. She is survived by 3 daughters, Loretta, Tipton, Katherine, Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Eileen Meyer, Buchanan; a son, Francis, Tipton and 4 grandchildren.
