Funeral services for Moses Asa Smith, 71, were held Sunday at the Tipton Bible church with K. O. Carroll, pastor, in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Smith, who had made his home in Tipton since 1923, died Friday in a Tipton nursing home.

Moses Asa Smith, son of Robert Bruce and Martha Ellen Smith, was born Sept. 3, 1887, at Daggett, Mich. When he was 5, he moved with his parents to Decatur, Nebr. In 1897 his parents moved to South Dakota where they lived for 4 years, returning to Michigan where they lived for 9 years. He came to Tipton in 1923.

He is survived by a brother, Benjamin Smith, Omaha, Nebr., and a sister, Mrs. Clara Sutton, Plattsmouth, Nebr. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Relatives who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Simonsen, Omaha, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith, Ketamah, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sutton and daughter, and Mrs. Clare Sutton, Plattsmouth, Nebr.
