Mrs. Everett C. Morris, 70, a former resident of West Branch, died Feb. 7 at Lakeland, Fla., after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Friends church. The Rev. Clifford Wolfe and the Rev. Taylor Guthrie will officiate. Burial will be in the West Branch cemetery.

She had lived in West Branch where she was a member of the Friends church, the Centerdale club, Priscilla club, and Women's Christian Temperance Union until going to Florida 3 years ago.

Mrs. Morris, the former Mabel E. Hathaway, was born April 24, 1888, a daughter of Thomas and Ida Branson Hathaway. She was married to Mr. Morris June 11, 1908.

Survivors include her husband, 5 daughters, Mrs. Lorene Pearson, West Branch, Mrs. Evelyn Gegenheimer, Iowa City, Mrs. Kathryn Leonard, Winchester, Ind., Mrs. Marie Killough, Lakeland, and Mrs. Louise Reeve, of Cedar Rapids, and 4 sons, Cecil, Wauwatosa, Wis., Edward, Oskaloosa, Thomas, West Branch, and LaVerne, of Saxonburg, Pa. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
