BENNETT MAN HANGS HIMSELF
Bennett, Ia. Aug. 6--James Parker, an old resident of this community, was found hanging in a vacant barn owned by Kate Foresman.

Parker had purchased the rope at a local hardware store and as he was seen going toward the barn soon thereafter, it is presumed he hung himself at that time.

The body was in a bad state of decomposition and it was difficult to recognize it by old acquaintances.

Deceased was a bachelor, 65 years old and for several years had worked around here among the farmers. No cause for the act is known.
