Mechanicsville, Ia., June 3--Nancy McKenzie was born near Cleveland, Ohio, on Dec. 6, 1841, and died at her home southwest of Mechanicsville, Iowa, on May 28, 1916, aged 74 years, 5 months and 22 days. In 1851 she moved with her parents to Mechanicsville, since which time her home has been in this vicinity. On Nov. 19, 1861, she was married to Jos. Conner, to which union five children were born, two boys and three girls, Charles, who died at the age of two years; John, living on the old homestead; Mrs. Rose Ruble, Mrs. Emma Cole and Mrs. Ocena Longerbeam, all living southwest of Mechanicsville. She also leaves two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Lydie Conner and Mrs. Mary Archer of Mechanicsville, and Isaac McKenzie of Lake View, Iowa.

The funeral, Rev. W. N. Baker, officiating, was held at the home at 2 o'clock May 30th. The body was laid to rest by the side of the husband in the local cemetery.
