Funeral services for Edward George Timm, 50, were held Tuesday with the Rev. Arthur Stratemeyer in charge. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Timm died at Mercy hospital in Iowa City Sunday after an illness of several months.
The youngest son of John and Johanna Timm, he was born June 6, 1908, near New Liberty. He was married to Martha Wehde June 2, 1932.
A lifetime farmer, he had operated a farm west of Tipton for 10 years. He had served as a 4-H club leader and was active in Boy Scout work. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife; 6 children, Edward Donald, St. Louis, Mo.; Harold, Mt. Auburn; Walter, Martha JoAnne, Roger, and Richard, at home; a brother, Emil, Mt. Healthy, Ohio, and 3 half brothers and a half sister, all living in Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
