William J. Iserhott, 75, a native of Lowden, died April 9 at his home in Sweetland township, Muscatine county. His death followed a short illness.
The son of Joseph and Marie Garloff Iserhott, he was born Dec. 7, 1883, in Lowden. He was a resident of the Sweetland township community 16 years. He farmed in Cedar county for many years.
He married Ida Meyer Feb. 28, 1911, at Lowden. He was a member of the United Church of Christ. His occupation was that of a farmer.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Raymond, Wilton Junction, and Ervin and Elmer, both of Muscatine; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sister.
Services were Sunday at the Griffith funeral home in Wilton Junction. The Rev. Alvin Volle, pastor of the United Church of Christ at Bennett, officiated. Burial was at Inland cemetery at Bennett.
