13 August 1959 - The Tipton Conservative

Funeral services for William F. VeDepo, 62, West Branch, were held Aug. 8 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Iowa City. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery. Pallbearers were Melvin and James Lynch, Bob Heins, Bob VeDepo, Vince Murphy, and George Donavan.

Mr. VeDepo died suddenly at his home near West Branch Aug. 6 after a heart attack.

The son of Charles and Nora VeDepo, he was born Sept. 2, 1896, at Springville, Ill. He was married to Elizabeth Binz at Iowa City June 29, 1920. He was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic church of West Branch.

Mr. VeDepo lived most of his life on a farm near West Branch.

He is survived by his wife; 4 sons, Raymond, LaVerne and Leonard, West Branch, William, Cedar Rapids; 3 daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Meade, Tiffin, Mrs. Elizabeth Hotz, Lone Tree, Mrs. Marilyn Gronewold, West Branch; 4 brothers, Charles and Albert, Iowa City, Paul, Long Beach, Calif., and Edwin, Cedar Rapids; 2 sisters, Mrs. Blanche Schilling and Mrs. Theresa Hein, both of Iowa City, and several grandchildren.
