Fred C. Meyer, 73, Stanwood, died suddenly of a heart attack while mowing the lawn at his home Monday.

Funeral services have been set for 1:30 p.m. today (Thursday) at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Stanwood. The Rev. R. M. Muhl will be in charge. Burial will be in the Stanwood cemetery.

He was born in Leese, Germany, Aug. 19, 1885, and came to the United States in 1901. He was married to Anna Meier at Lowden Jan. 25, 1912.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Leonard Shaffer, Clarence; Mrs. John Kohl, Lisbon, and 3 sons, Lester and Harold, Olin, and Fred Jr., Stanwood. An infant daughter preceded him in death.
