13 August 1959 - The Tipton Conservative

Dr. A. W. Cruse, dentist and mayor of Mechanicsville, died suddenly Wednesday morning at his home. Cause of death has not been determined, but it is believed that he suffered a heart attack.

He was found in his garden about 9 a.m. The Mechanicsville resuscitator squad was called, but he died a short time later.

He had served as mayor of Mechanicsville and had been a member of the Mechanicsville council and school board.

Funeral services are pending.
