Funeral services for Mrs. Tima Whalen, 49, were held Oct. 10 at the Dye Funeral home with the Rev. Edgerton Nix in charge. Burial was at the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Oliver and Glen Ehresman, Tot Taylor and Virgil Griffis, Jr.

Mrs. Whalen died at Mt. Pleasant Oct. 8 following a long heart ailment.

The daughter of Frank and Lucy Crawford Kensinger, she was born in Tipton July 16, 1909 and was married to Pyrcell Whalen.

She is survived by her husband; a son Alfred, Waterloo; two sisters, Ruby Kensinger, Tipton and Mrs. John (Ruth) Sparks, Spokane, Wash. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
