Stanwood, April 26--The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Carl, whose death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myram Somen Thursday, was held at the Presbyterian church at Red Oak yesterday (Sunday) afternoon and interment was made in the Red Oak cemetery. Mr. Carl was one of Iowa's pioneers, having lived in Cedar county for more than sixty years. Her death was due to the infirmities of old age, she having reached the advanced age of 96 years.
