Stanwood, April 26--The community was shocked and saddened Thursday by the sudden death of little Leona Gallmeyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Gallmeyer at her home west of town. The little one had not been considered seriously ill until a few hours before her death. A heroic effort was made to save her life, but without avail. Owing to the serious nature of the illness which was pronounced membraneous croup, a private funeral was held at the home the following day and the little form tenderly laid away in the cemetery south of town. Mr. and Mrs. Gallmeyer have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their great sorrow.
