Oscar Walford Swan passed away at the home of his brother, Arnold Swan, north of Tipton Tuesday morning, March 18. Funeral services will be held at the Sheets funeral home Friday morning, March 21 at 10 o'clock, and at Oakville, Iowa in the Methodist church at 2:30 in the afternoon. Interment will be at Mediapolis. Rev. Harold Kratzat will officiate.

Mr. Swan was born at Oakville June 24, 1892, and at the time of his death was 59 years, 8 months and 24 days of age. Survivors include four sisters and one brother: Mrs. Mable Lewis of Wapello, Mrs. Myrtle Dietrick of Burlington, Mrs. Lida Pulver of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Evelyn Murray of Oakville and Arnold Swan of Tipton.
