Thelma Hougland expressed her religious faith in a quiet but sincere way. As a child she attended Sunday school and church in the South Bethel community. She is survived by her husband, Forrest Hugland; one brother, Merle Highly and one sister, Mrs. Mildred Werling, both of Tipton. Besides these there are several cousins, nephews and nieces, and many friendswho mourn her passing.

Memorial services were held Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 20, at 2 o'clock at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home with Rev. A. C. Long of the Methodist church in charge. Interment was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
