Viola Millie Grouell was born April 27, 1877, in Wheatland, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Grouell, and passed away at her home in Tipton on Oct. 17, 1955, at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 18 days.

She was one of a family of eight children, all who have preceded her in death but her youngest brother.

She was united in marriage to John Clemmens on Sept. 5, 1895. To this union were born two children, Glenn, who passed away at camp in World War I, and Elsie, with whom she made her home.

She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Elsie; two grandsons, Raymond and John Fell; one brother, S. R. Crouell of Cedar Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 19, 1955, in the Sheets & Dahn funeral home with Rev. U. J. Fike officiating, and interment in Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray Challis, Donald Challis, Verne Ago, Ira Hill, Art Walshire and Harry Spear. Those assistiing with the flowers were Mrs. Roger Morden and Mrs. Robert Stafford.
