Lee Edward Krotz passed away at University hospitals, Iowa City, Wednesday afternoon as a result of severe burns received in a fire at his home Saturday, Aug. 27. His wife was fatally burned at that time.

Lee was born at Spring Valley, Ill., April 19, 1925, the son of James and Rosey Krotz. He was married to Mary Joan Osterkamp Nov. 13, 1954. Funeral rites will be held at the Sheets & Dahn funeral home Friday afternoon, Sept. 16, at 2 o'clock with Rev. Mrs. Clarence Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Velva Lee; his parents Mr. and Mrs. James Krotz; one brother Arnold; and a grandfather, Mr. Ace Baker.
