Frederick Miller was born at Middleton, Conn., Dec. 27, 1908, and died at the home of his grand daughter, Mrs. Walter Pownall, at Centerdale, March 9, 1908, at the advanced age of 99 years, 2 months and 12 days.

Mr. Miller came to what was then known as the West in 1854, settling on a farm near Mendota, Ill., where he has since made his home. He was spending the winter with his granddaughter at Centerdale when he was taken with the illness which caused his decease.
