John D. Ridenour, residing about three miles east of Rochester, and one of the early settlers of that part of Cedar county, a man of broad acquaintance and liked by every one that knew him, died Tuesday evening of last week and was interred in the Rochester cemetery Friday. Funeral was conducted from his residence by the Rev. Albert King of Wilton. We understand Mr. Ridenour has occupied the same place that his father entered, when J. D. was a boy, ever since he has been in the state which was nearly sixty years ago. Mr. Ridenour will be greatly missed in the neighborhood.
