Mrs. Anna Petersen was born in Denmark, Nov. 14, 1838. She came to this country in 1871, going direct to Chicago where she lived with her relatives until about four years ago. Since then she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. G. A. Milnes, until her death on Monday, March 18, 1918, aged 79 years, 4 months and 4 days.

For some time Mrs. Petersen has not enjoyed good health and finally passed away stricken with a stroke of paralysis.

She was the mother of nine children, only three surviving. Those living are Mrs. Mary Olsen and Mrs. G. A. Milnes both of Springdale and Chris Petersen of Chicago.

Mrs. Petersen was a life-long member of the Lutheran church. Funeral services were conducted at the home and Methodist church by Rev. G. J. Chalice of West Branch, assisted by Lars Hansen, on Thursday, March 21, 1918, and interment was made in the Springdale cemetery.
