14 March 1918 - West Branch Times

Kate Wymer was born in Iowa township, Cedar county, Iowa, Nov. 6, 1866. Died March 2, 1918. She was married to Andrew Linn, Feb. 14, 1882. To this union was born six children--John Wesley of near Tipton; William W., who died when about three weeks old; Mildred M. Richards of Tipton; Earl A. who lives on the home place; Chloe L. Goldsberry of Marion; and one son who died in infancy.

In early childhood she joined the Bethel church near her home and about six years ago united with the Springdale Friends church.

Besides her husband and four children, she leaves to mourn her loss, seven grand children and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret A. Spencer of Rochester and Mrs. Alice Mackie of Minot, N.D.

She has been in poor health the past six years and those of the family and others who came within the home have felt the silent influence of her quiet life. Through all the suffering she was ever cheerful and anxious to help those about her to a better life. The last message left to the family is a heritage beyond estimate to them.

The funeral was held from the Springdale Friends church, Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. E. L. Gregory of Arnold's Park, her former pastor, assisted by Rev. Milo Reece. Interment in Pedee cemetery.
