Lillie Lloyd, the joy of her widowed mother's heart, and one of the brightest and sweetest little girls in our village, is no more. After a brief illness, she died Monday afternoon of spinal fever, caused by a fall that injured her spine. She was buried Tuesday morning at 10 A.M. Although it is true that "It must be sweet in childhood, to give back the spirit to its Maker," it must be very hard for the grief-torn mother, whom death has robbed of her only daughter, the light and solace of her life, to say with Christian meekness "Thy will be done, oh Lord."
