Clyde Hunt passed away at his home Tuesday about noon. Mr. Hunt was stricken with influenza a short time ago, which developed into pneumonia with the above results.

Clyde Edward Hunt, son of William and Levina Hunt, was born in Douglass county, Illinois, November 7, 1889, and departed this life December 17, 1918, at his home in West Branch, Iowa, age 29 years, 1 month and 10 days.

He was united in marriage to Madge L. Vincent of West Branch, Iowa, at Independence, Iowa, June 1, 1914. To this union was born two children, Katherine and Hazel. One adopted daughter also survives, besides his father, William Hunt, five sisters, Sarah, Katherine, Dolly, Nettie and ? and five brothers, Albert, Alva, Grover, Everett and Leslie, his mother having passed away in 1897. All were present with the exception of three sisters and one brother.

For two years he has made his home at West Branch, where he has won a host of friends, who will miss him and mourn his loss. It can truly be said that he was a good husband to his family and in his home. Their comfort being his first thought. His wife, two sisters and one brother were at his bedside to minister to him during his last illness.

Short funeral services were held at the grave conducted by Rev. Laura Townsend, Friday afternoon at two o'clock.
