William H. Walker, son of Isaac and Lydia Walker, oldest of six children, was born Fourth Month 5th, 1841, in Salem, Ohio, and moved with his parents to Iowa in 1865, locating near West Branch.

He was graduated from the School of Dentistry at the State University of Iowa, Third Month 12th, 1884, engaging in the practice of his profession at Springville and Vinton before locating in West Branch. Here he was actively engaged in his profession until his health failed some years ago.

He was united in marriage with Anna Maria Wilson, Eleventh Month 12th, 1884. To them were born four children, Lydia Elma Stewart and Mary Eliza Holland of West Branch, Rachel T., who died in infancy and Abel T. Walker of Mason City.

He was a lifelong member of the Society of Friends, being unusually regular in attendance at meeting up to a short time before his death.

He passed away at his home early Third day morning, Sixth Month 5th, 1928, and funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon from the Conservative Friends meeting house, with interment in the West Branch cemetery.

Surviving are his wife and three children, twelve grandchildren and two sisters, Martha B. Coulson of Strawn, Kansas, and Sara W. Thomas of West Branch.
