John Wagaman, 63, hanged himself Saturday afternoon in the loft of the barn on his farm, north of Buchanan. The farm is tenanted by Howard Hines.

The body was found by Hines after Wagaman had been missing but a little time. Despondency over ill health is thought to have prompted the act.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Buchanan church, with interment in the East Cedar Bluff cemetery.
