Mrs. Nancy K. Simmermaker wife of George Simmermaker died Thursday afternoon, August 6, 1908. While she had been in poor health for more than a year, yet her last illness was of short duration.

Nancy K. Slater was born in the state of Indiana March 22, 1841. She was married July 1863 to Geo Simmermaker. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. E. W. Carl, who preceded her mother into the other world, passing from this life September 9, 1903.

Mr. Simmermaker who is now in his 87 years is left together with four daughters, children of his first wife, to mourn the departure of the deceased.

The funeral services were held at the home in Tipton August 8th, W. Rollin McCaslin of the Presbyterian church officiating, assisted by John N. Naly of the Reformed church. Interment was at the Masonic cemetery.
