Dr. Lou A. Todd, formerly of Springdale, died Thursday at the home of her son Carr at Elkhart, Ind, following an attack of flu. The disease has been very prevalent in that city, all of the Todd children having been ill with flu.

Dr. Todd was for many years a resident of Springdale where she practiced medicine and where her husband, Tilman Todd, was engaged in the practice of law during his lifetime. The past few years, failing health compelled her to give up active practice, and last fall she moved with her son and family to Elkhart where her death occurred.

Mrs. Jason Smith received a telegram last Friday morning telling of the death of Dr. L. A. Todd, which occurred on Thursday, April 19th, at the home of her son, Carr, and family at Elkhart, Ind. A letter followed later stating that her death was caused by flu, from which she had been ill about a week. The Todd family lived in this community many years and but a few months ago they moved to Elkhart where they established their home. Dr. Todd had numerous friends in this community who will regret to hear of her death. In the many homes were she was called to minister as doctor and nurse her memory will ever be held sacred and dear. As long as health permitted she was busy in the activities of life; a loyal citizen, and always interested in the affairs that were helpful to the neighborhood. Several months ago she received a fall from which she never recovered and her family and friends watched the gradually declining health with serious apprehension, all of which was borne with remarkable patience and fortitude. She is survived by her son Carr and wife and three grandchildren, many relatives and friends. This community extends sympathy to the bereaved families.
