Evalyn Sponey, aged 17 years, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. (Ted) Sponey of Racine, Wis., passed away at 6:12 p.m., last Thursday and was buried at Racine Saturday.

Evalyn had been in poor health for some time and spent a part of the summer with relatives in this vicinity with the hope that a few weeks in the country might benefit her. No improvement was made and upon returning to Racine she was taken to a sanitarium for tubercular patients and her short remaining time was spent there in a vain attempt to check the dread disease.

Besides her parents, she is survived by one brother, Leslie. The family formerly lived at West Branch and the sympathy of their many friends here is extended.
