17 January 1901 - West Branch Times

Mrs. Maggie Jackson, wife of Frank Jackson, died Sunday afternoon at her residence on the Enoch Hope farm near Oasis, after a week's illness and under the most distressing circumstances. She was the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. L. H. Embree of Springdale, and was married to Mr. Jackson on March 28, 1889. She and her husband have always resided in this community, except for three years which they spent in Nebraska. Mrs. Jackson was a life-long member of the M.E. church and lived a consistent Christian life. Besides her aged parents and two sisters, she leaves a sorrowing husband and three little children, the eldest 11 years and the youngest an infant in arms, to mourn for a dutiful daughter, a loving sister, a faithful wife and an indulgent mother.

The funeral took place Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Honey Grove M.E. church, conducted by Rev. S. D. Bartie, and was attended by a large concourse of sympathizing friends. A.W.J.
