DIED David Wright, at his home near this city, on Saturday, March 2, 1895, aged 67 years 5 month and 9 days. He had been afflicted from a complication of diseases for several months and at times his suffering was intense but it was all borne with christian patience and his end was peace. He was quiet in his habits, strictly honest and a kind neighbor, often suffering great sacrifice on his own part to favor others. Mr. Wright was born in Cambria county Pa. and came to Iowa with his parents in 1844 and in 1853 he returned to Bedford, Pa. and was married to Nancy Callihan. In 1854 they came to Iowa and settled in Cedar county, where he remained till his death. He was baptised in Jan 1859 in the German Baptist church and has ever since retained his faith and membership. His wife and six children survive him, all of whom were present at his death. The funeral services were held in the U.B. church at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Solomon Starney, of Linn Co. a German Baptist minister. His sermon was from the 14th chapter of Job.
