18 October 1894 - West Branch Times

The funeral of Oliver Endsley was held at the family home west of town at 10 o'clock Sunday morning, services conducted by Rev. J. Y. Hoover. Although it occurred at the hour of service at the churches, there was a very large attendance, sixty loaded vehicles were counted in the procession that followed the remains to the cemetery. His age was 56 years, was sick only about two weeks with a complication of catarrh and liver trouble. He was born and raised in Wayne county, Ind. where he was married in 18?4 to Amanda Crook, who died about two years later, when he moved with his infant son Curtis to Cedar county, Iowa. He afterwards married Elizabeth Embree who with eight children survive him. He was a tender father and affectionate husband and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
