Isabel, daughter of Charles and Esther Fogg, was born Tenth Month 14, 1855, in Cedar County, Iowa, a few miles northeast of West Liberty.

Her father died when she was a child, and at the age of sixteen, in 1871, she, with her mother, brother and sister, moved to Belmont County, Ohio.

On Ninth Month 26, 1877, Isabel Fogg became the wife of Wilson T. Sidwell, the marriage occurring at the Friends meeting house at Colerain, Ohio. In the autumn of 1882 they moved to Iowa and their home for forty-three years has been in West Branch or the near vicinity.

Never of robust health, Isabel Sidwell was for the past thirty years unable to participate in many outside activities, so her home became to her the heart of the world, and to her family she grew to be the beloved center of the home. To the friends who were privileged to know her, as well as to her immediate family, her life of suffering and cheerful self-denial, her patience and her constant thought for others, will be an enduring lesson and source of inspiration. The past two years she has been confined to her bed the greater part of the time, and although everything that love or skill could do, was done for her, she passed away in the early morning hours of Tenth Month 19th, 1925.

Surviving, to hold her in tender memory are her husband, Wilson T. Sidwell, and five children: Clara, at home; Clarence of Riverside, Calif.; Luella Smith of Iowa City; Oliver of Salem, Ohio; and Ann Klug of Cedar Rapids; also one brother, Adna Fogg of Dundee, Oregon.

The funeral was held at the home yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted according to Friends custom, and interment was made in the beautiful Silent City on the Hill, in West Branch.
