Sallie A. Eves was born at Millville, Pa., March 16, 1867, and died after a lingering sickness, at West Liberty, Ia, on the morning of May 11, 1899, aged 32 years, 1 month and 20 days. She moved to Springdale, Ia., in August, 1889, and was married to C. H. Milnes, March 16, 1892. A little daughter, which died in infancy, was born to them June 10, 1893. They moved to West Liberty, in August 1897. She leaves her husband, a brother, a sister and a large circle of friends and relatives.

Mrs. Milnes was a birthright member of the Hicksite division of the Friends' church. She was devout, reverent and had that faith in the Savior of the world that takes away the sting of death. Desiring to live she was ready to go. Conscious in the last she quietly said "Good night" to the loved ones of earth and has doubtless ere this said "good morning" to the loved ones in the world to come.
