He reach Walla Walla and spent a few days with the daughter and was then taken over to the sons residence, a distance of some thirty miles where filling up the same number of days he had spent with the daughter, he suddenly, through heart failure, reached the end of lifes journey, dying in good hope of a blessed hereafter. In life he was a man of industrious habits and of strict integrity and lived respected by his neighbors.
